HCC Underwriting Agency Ltd (HCCUA) commenced underwriting on 1 December, 2003, specialising in Third Party Liability Employers’ Liability and Contractors’ All Risks insurance.
In December, 2005, HCCUA holding company, HCC Holdings Group Limited was acquired by HCC Insurance Holdings, Inc. (NYSE symbol: HCC).

HCCUA can only accept business via the intermediary of an FSA regulated broker. If you are a company interested in approaching us for coverage, you should contact your insurance broker.
The Liability & Contractor's All Risks underwriting team is led by Paul Baynham who is supported by a strong team of specialist underwriters. The underwriting teams have been assembled to provide brokers with a wide range of expertise.

HCCIS, formerly Illium Insurance Services Ltd, is a Lloyd’s approved coverholder and is authorised to write business on behalf of Syndicate 4141 under a Binding Authority agreement.
HCCIS is an Appointed Representative of HCC Underwriting Agency Ltd.
which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Services
Authority.
HCCIS deals with both Lloyd’s accredited and non-Lloyd’s brokers throughout the whole of the UK. The Managing Director is Julian Goodall, ACII who is based in Newcastle and supported by two underwriters - Helen McKenna in the Newcastle office, responsible for business in the North of England, Scotland and Northern Ireland, and Chris Ashmead in the Bridgend office, responsible for the Midlands, the South of England and Wales. Chris is also a director of
HCCIS.
